Within the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic (WPIC) Department of Psychiatry, our Mood Disorders Treatment and Research Program (MDTRP) has had long-standing and extensive experience in a wide variety of mood disorders research that includes:
- Multi-center collaborative and single-site clinical treatment trials for various types of depressive and bipolar disorders;
- Psychopharmacology treatment studies (investigational and FDA-approved drugs) for major depression and bipolar disorder;
- Psychotherapy treatment studies for depressive disorders;
- Neurostimulation therapies for treatment resistant depression;
- Combining neuroimaging and treatment studies of major depression.
