Biography
Adnan Abla, MD, completed his neurosurgical residency training at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and at the University of Oklahoma. To obtain cross-training in spinal instrumentation, he completed a year in the orthopedic residency program at the University of Oklahoma. He also completed a clinical fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Abla served as an associate professor of neurosurgery at Allegheny University of the Health Sciences in Pittsburgh, PA, as well as the director of spine services for Allegheny General Hospital. He is a clinical professor of neurosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
Dr. Abla specializes in the treatment of complex spine disorders including spinal instrumentation and tumors. He has co-authored 12 book chapters, and has published 40 articles. He is an active participant in multiple professional and scientific societies.
