Biography
Jagdish Bhatnagar, ScD, FACR, joined the faculty of the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh in September 2005. Before joining UPMC, Dr. Bhatnagar served at different times as faculty at the West Virginia University Medical School, staff at Pittsburgh Mercy Hospital Medical Center, and a faculty at Boston University Medical School.
Dr. Bhatnagar received his master of science degree in physics in 1968 from the University of Bombay, India and he received his doctor of science degree in radiological sciences in 1973 from the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health, Baltimore.
Dr. Bhatnagar is certified by the American Board of Radiology in radiological physics and the American Board of Medical Physics in physics of radiation oncology.
Dr. Bhatnagar’s main contribution has been in providing a high quality service to patients and teaching radiological physics. He has authored altogether 15 papers, invited papers and poster presentations.
