Benzel Lectures on Academic Surgery, Spine Biomechanics

Pittsburgh, April 18, 2008 -- Edward Benzel, MD, chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at the Cleveland Clinic and director of the clinic's Center for Spine Health presented a lecture here April 18 entitled "On Becoming an Academic Surgeon" as part of the department's on-going Visiting Professor Lecture Series.

In addition to his main lecture, Dr. Benzel participated in the department's journal club and resident's case conference. He also was the featured guest at a reception and dinner later in the evening at the Fox Chapel Golf Club where he gave a second lecture, "Spine Biomechanics: From the Basics to the Clinical Practice."
