Mark Richardson, MD, PhD, director of the adult epilspsy and movement disorders program at UPMC Presbyterian, was a guest on the KDKA Radio Morning News Show with Larry Richert and John Shumway, April 30, talking about Deep Brain Stimulation and its use in the treatment of symptoms of Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders. Dr. Richardson explained the principles behind DBS and detailed it's use in awake and asleep patients.
