Thirumala Elected President of Pennsylvania Neurological Society

ThirumalaPittsburgh, October 15, 2013 -- Parthasarathy D. Thirumala, MD, clinical assistant professor of neurological surgery & neurology and co-director of the UPMC Center of Clinical Neurophysiology, was elected president of the Pennsylvania Neurological Society at the group’s annual meeting held in Philadelphia, October 10-12. 

Formed in 2007, the Pennsylvania Neurological Society stated mission is to improve the science and practice of neurology in Pennsylvania through education, advocacy, and the exchange of ideas amongst neurologists in innovative and cutting edge neurological advances. The group represents 750 neurologists and more than 250 residents and fellows in the state. 

Dr. Thirumala’s term runs through 2015.
