Project Summary:

The Children’s Oncology Group (COG) is a national cooperative group established by NCI to conduct collaborative multi-center research relating to childhood cancer. This project supports the study chair who is appointed by the Chair of the Disease, Discipline or Scientific Committee from which the study is evolving. When an idea for new study has been approved, the chair of the committee selects the author of the concept who may or may not be the study chair. Once the summary concept is approved by the scientific council, the study chair is appointed, if different from the concept author, and is responsible for further development of the full concept and protocol in collaboration with the concept author and Study Statistician.
