Requests for Fourth Year Visiting Elective Applications from students attending LCME accredited medical schools will be accepted beginning in March of your fourth year through December. Assignments will be made after our fourth year students finalize their schedules at the end of May.

To arrange for an elective you will have to visit the University of Pittsburgh Medical School website and follow these steps...

1. go to Administrative Offices
2. then go to Office of Student Affairs
3. then go to Senior Elective Catalogue
4. pick the course you are interested in
5. then click student affairs (at the top of the page)
6. then go to LCME Visiting Elective Application or International Visiting Elective Application and click on Request an application packet online.
