Biography

Christopher Bonfield, MD, graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania while majoring in biological basis of behavior and classical studies. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 2007.

During his 2011-12 PGY-5 year, Dr. Bonfield will be learning minimally-invasive spine surgery techniques as well as deformity correction surgery under the mentorship of Adam Kanter, MD, and David Okonkwo, MD, PhD. He will also be engaging in clinical research involving the outcomes of new techniques used in spine surgery today.

Dr. Bonfield was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA.
