Biography

Richard Singleton, MD, PhD, graduated from the University of Richmond in 1996 with a BS in biology and chemistry. He subsequently enrolled in the MD/PhD program at the Medical College of Virginia, earning combined degrees in 2004. He received his doctorate from the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology where his research focused on diffuse brain injury and the neuronal somatic effects of diffuse axonal injury. His research interests include neurotrauma and neurocritical care.
