Tri-State Neurosurgical Associates is a community arm of the Department of Neurological Surgery offering services in western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio, and northern West Virginia. It is headed by Joseph Maroon MD and includes Dr. Matt El-Kadi.

Tri-State Neurological Associates specializes in the surgical treatments of spinal and central nervous system diseases. This would include herniated discs, spinal stenosis, spinal fractures, spinal slippage, and other diseases of the spine including tumors, and vascular abnormalities. The group also specializes in brain diseases including tumors, seizures, aneurysms, vascular abnormalities, carotid disease, and skull base abnormalities.

The surgeons combined experience in all areas of neurosurgery allows this group to provide exceptional care to a regional and national referral area. With 15 offices located in three states and currently on staff at over 10 different hospitals this group allows patients the convenience and confidence to use facilities close to their homes.
