  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner

I began my career at UPMC as a neurosurgical staff nurse in 1984, where I cared for a diverse neurosurgical population. I transitioned to the community in 1997, where I completed a business degree from Carnegie Mellon University, while continuing to care for the neurosurgical patient population. In 2007, I became a neurosurgical nurse practitioner with a focus of providing high-quality, cost-effective, patient-centered neurosurgical care in the community. The majority of my vast neurosurgical career was spent caring for patients with peripheral nerve disorders and degenerative spine conditions, requiring complex surgical decompression and stabilization. I have cared for patients in all stages of the continuum: the office, the operating room and postoperatively.
