The Center for Clinical Neurophysiology at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurological Surgery seeks candidates for a position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an MD or DO degree. Candidates must be board-eligible or board certified in neurology.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, residents, fellows, and technologists.
Clinical responsibilities include providing intraoperative neuromonitoring at UPMC hospitals, both in-person as well as through telemedicine. Common modalities include SSEP, TcMEP, BSER, EEG, EMG, and ECOG in the setting of neurosurgical, orthopedic, ENT, vascular, cardiac and neurointerventional radiology procedures at tertiary care pediatric and adult hospitals.
Required Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited internship and residency in neurology; BC/BE
- Eligible for unrestricted state license in PA, OH, MD
Preferred Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in IONM, clinical neurophysiology, or epilepsy with board certification.
Opportunity to complete an embedded IONM training program at UPMC as part of employment is available for candidates.
