Pittsburgh, February 10, 2023 -- University of Pittsburgh associate professor Taylor Abel, MD, chief of pediatric epilepsy surgery and surgical director of the pediatric epilepsy surgery program at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, has been awarded the Donald S. Fraley Medical Student Mentoring Award from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
The award recognizes individuals for their outstanding contribution to medical education through their service as mentors to medical students at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. This award is named for the late Donald S. Fraley, MD, alumnus of the School of Medicine, regarded as an outstanding mentor and influencer in the professional development of scores of medical students.
