Pittsburgh, February 2, 2019 -- L. Dade Lunsford, MD, Lars Leksell Distinguished Professor at the University of Pittsburgh and director of the UPMC Center for Image-Guided Neurosurgery, was interviewed on NEJM Journal Watch Audio General Medicine, February 1, discussing the recently published JAMA Internal Medicine article “Association of Corticosteroid Treatment With Outcomes in Adult Patients With Sepsis: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.”
Dr. Lunsford, an author on the article, commented on the paper’s findings that suggest administration of corticosteroids is associated with reduced 28-day mortality compared with placebo use or standard supportive care.
