Abigail Crum, DMSc, MPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in neurosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurological Surgery. Since joining the department in 2022, she has provided collaborative, multidisciplinary care to patients with complex spinal conditions, with clinical interests in minimally invasive surgery, scoliosis, and spinal deformity.
She earned both her bachelor of science in health sciences and master of physician assistant studies from Duquesne University and completed her doctor of medical science from the University of Pittsburgh. She is also editor and co-author of the forthcoming textbook Neurosurgery Fundamentals for Advanced Practice Providers, designed to support the education and clinical growth of physician assistants and nurse practitioners in neurosurgical practice.
In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Abigail leads the department's Spine and Scoliosis Support Group, offering education and community support to patients and families navigating spinal diagnoses and treatment.
