Agarwal Awarded SRS Fellowship

Nitin AgarwalPittsburgh, August 17, 2023 -- Nitin Agarwal, MD, associate professor of neurological surgery and director of the department's Minimally Invasive Spine and Robotics Surgery program, has been awarded the Scoliosis Research Society's 2023 Emerging Technologies Fellowship. The fellowship allows a surgeon to spend 2 to 3 weeks participating in a spine traveling program, visiting SRS members currently practicing vertebral body tethering.

Dr. Agarwal—also associate program director of the department's residency program—is a strong advocate of medical student education and has served as editor or co-editor on a number of books on the subject. He specializes in a variety of spine conditions including artificial disc replacement, cervical deformity and scoliosis surgery.
