Aneurysm Project Tabbed for Pitt Ventures Program

Kamil Nowicki and Robert FriedlanderPittsburgh, May 11, 2021 -- Kamil Nowicki, MD, PhD, PGY-5 resident, and Robert Friedlander, MD, chair of the Department of Neurosurgery, have been selected to participate in the University of Pittsburgh’s Pitt Ventures First Gear program for their research project ‘Small Molecule Inhibitor Therapy to Prevent Aneurysm Formation, Growth, and Rupture.’

The First Gear program is an effort to help shape inventions originating from university research into products and services that can be commercially transitioned as a startup company or as a viable product or service.
