Lang Named Recipient of UPMC Physician Excellence Award

Michael LangPittsburgh, October 8, 2021 -- Michael Lang, MD, assistant professor of neurological surgery at the University of Pittsburgh and a leading expert in vascular and endovascular care, has been named a recipient of a 2021 UPMC Physician Excellence Award. The award recognizes UPMC physicians who exhibit a passion for medicine and consistently achieve clinical excellence.

In annoucing the award, Tami Minnier, UPMC’s chief quality officer, cited comments in Dr. Lang’s nomination that stated, “Dr. Lang exemplifies the essence of a young physician surgeon on the path to immeasurable success. The UPMC Physician Excellence Award honorees were named during UPMC’s Dr. Loren Roth Quality and Patient Safety Awards virtual reception, held October 7, 2021. The reception celebrated physicians who demonstrate excellence in their field and go above and beyond in their focus to provide safe and effective patient-centered care.
