Pittsburgh, May 14, 2025 -- Oliver Tang, MD, second-year resident with the University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurological Surgery, has been selected as one of 12 nationwide incoming fellows for the 2025-26 Council of State Neurosurgical Societies (CSNS) Socioeconomic Fellowships.
The fellowship provides an educational opportunity for neurosurgical residents to gain a better understanding of socioeconomic issues impacting neurosurgery, including healthcare policy, governmental regulations, practice management, insurance requirements and communication skill development.
The CSNS is composed of members of various state neurosurgical societies organized with the goal of providing a national forum for discussing socioeconomic issues and serving as a resource and advocate for patients and the profession.
