Armani Manov is a Pittsburgh native and alumnus of the University of Pittsburgh. He conducts neurosurgical research, concentrating on surgical innovation and care for patients with complex medical conditions. His research combines clinical experience with analysis of outcomes to refine treatments and strengthen evidence-based spine surgery.
He also works to translate and share neurosurgical research, with a particular focus on how patients are counseled at critical decision points in their care. These choices carry real consequences, and he holds that active patient participation, the highest standard of patient-centered care, depends on clear, evidence-based information about their condition, their treatment options, and what each option means for their recovery and quality of life. Making that information accessible supports genuine shared decision-making and, with it, better engagement and outcomes. He is also interested in using data science and emerging technologies to improve clinical research infrastructure and medical education.
