Armani Manov is a Pittsburgh native and alumnus of the University of Pittsburgh. He is actively engaged in neurosurgical research with a focus on spine outcomes, surgical innovation, and care delivery in complex patient populations. His work integrates clinical insight with data-driven approaches to evaluate outcomes, optimize treatment strategies, and advance evidence-based practice in spine surgery.

In parallel, he contributes to the translation and dissemination of neurosurgical research, with a particular emphasis on patient communication at critical decision points in care. Patients facing neurosurgical intervention often confront complex, high-stakes choices between treatment paths with meaningfully different consequences. His work is grounded in the principle that active patient engagement in these decisions, recognized as the highest standard of patient-centered care, depends on access to clear, evidence-based information about their condition, what is happening in their body, and what each treatment option means for their recovery and quality of life. By making this information accessible, he aims to close the gap between clinical knowledge and patient understanding, enabling more informed participation in shared decision-making and ultimately improving engagement, satisfaction, and outcomes. His broader interests include leveraging data science and emerging technologies to enhance clinical research infrastructure, medical education, and patient-centered care delivery.
