Kayla is an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who joined the UPMC Presbyterian Neurosurgery department in 2026. She is a highly dedicated healthcare professional with a diverse background in caring for patients with multiple complex medical conditions. Kayla is committed to providing expert care to patients with complex neurosurgical conditions.

Kayla began her nursing career at UPMC in 2019, developing a strong foundation in high-acuity patient care. Following this, she expanded her expertise through extensive travel nursing assignments across Florida, Maine, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee, specializing in fast-paced hospital settings and honing her adaptability in acute care environments.

Kayla earned her Nursing degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019 and later completed her Master of Science in Nursing from Youngstown State University in 2025. With a focus on patient-centered care, Kayla works as a collaborating team member with the neurosurgery team at UPMC Presbyterian to improve patient outcomes and support recovery.

In her free time, Kayla enjoys spending time with family and friends. When she isn't working, she stays active by hiking and skiing and is an avid traveler who loves exploring new destinations.
