Laura LaRose, PA-C joined the UPMC Department of Neurosurgery in 2026. She earned her bachelor of arts in psychology with a concentration in neuroscience from Williams College in 2016 and her master of science in physician assistant studies from the University of Pittsburgh in 2020.

Laura began her career at UPMC in 2021 with the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, where she cared for patients with brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, and those recovering from spinal surgeries for degenerative and deformity conditions.
In her role with the Department of Neurological Surgery, she specializes in the management and education of patients with spinal deformity and degenerative disorders.

Laura is passionate about patient education and is committed to ensuring that patients feel supported throughout every step of the surgical process. Deeply aware that patients with complex spinal conditions often require ongoing education and rehabilitation after surgery, Laura is passionate about supporting them through the recovery process. Her goal is to help patients return to the activities they enjoy and achieve the best possible quality of life.
