Pittsburgh, March 20, 2026 -- The University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurological Surgery is proud to announce its 2026 residency match class. On Match Day, five exceptional future neurosurgeons learned they will be joining Pitt Neurosurgery to begin their training.

Representing medical schools from across the country, this talented group brings diverse backgrounds and training experiences to one of the nation's premier neurosurgical residency programs. The department is especially pleased to welcome two graduates of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
The new residents will begin their seven-year neurosurgical training at UPMC in July 2026, joining a program known for its commitment to clinical excellence, cutting-edge research, and innovation in neurosurgical care.
